The State Patrol says Alicia G. Kellas was driving south in the northbound lanes for approximately two miles around 11:30 p.m. when she collided head-on with a semi-truck.

Trooper Johnny Alexander said the car wedged under the cab of the truck and caught fire.

The woman died at the scene. The truck driver was not seriously injured. He was able to put out the fire with a fire extinguisher, with the help of other drivers.

The woman's car was demolished beyond recognition.
