BURIEN, Wash. —
One teenager was killed and another wounded in a shooting at an apartment complex in the Burien area Thursday night, sheriff's officials told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.
Witnesses reported seeing a gunman fleeing the scene near 124th and Ambaum in unincorporated King County at about 9:30 p.m.
Officials said the gunman is one of two teens taken to Harborview Medical Center. One teen died; the other was wounded.
The surviving teen is the suspect, officials said.
"Both people were shot. We're not going to go into the details of how that occurred," D.B. Gates of the King County Sheriff's Office said. "There's no suspect at large. We're not actively searching for anyone."
Homicide detectives were still at the scene on New Year's Day, examining Unit 4, where the shooting happened.
Investigators would not say whether either teen lived in the apartment.
