Among those detained was a 33-year-old man who police said recruited teenagers to steal cars and bring them back to the property.

The man used kids in other parts of the illegal operation, police said, send them out to sell methamphetamine.

The 33-year-old suspect and another person were booked into jail in Tacoma, said Washington State Patrol Trooper Johnny Alexander.

The SWAT team served search warrants in the raid at 6 a.m.

Troopers found a stolen car, a stolen motorcycle and two stolen engines.

Detectives have been watching the house since June, Alexander said.

He called it just the "tip of the iceberg" in the stolen car problem.
