2 Men Each Lose Hand In Explosion

NAPAVINE, Wash. —

Two men each lost a hand in an explosion in Lewis County on Thursday night, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.

Police said the blast happened at a campground near Napavine at about 8:30 p.m.

One man lit the fuse of a homemade firecracker. It did not go off, so he and another man stuck it into a fire and the firecracker exploded.

The two men who lost hands were taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

A third man who suffered a facial injury was treated at a Centralia hospital.
