Police responding to a report of fireworks found one man dead. The second man died after he was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The victims were shot outside the Village Apartments on North 205th Street.

Customers at nearby Scott's Bar and Grill were told to stay inside. People stayed calm but moved away from the windows, a manager told The Herald of Snohomish County.

Detectives were waiting to obtain a search warrant before entering an apartment to look for a weapon, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.

Police said the gunmen could be driving a white Nissan Sentra, Washington license plate 586 RQN.

As of early Thursday, no weapon had been found and language difficulties were complicating the investigation, police spokeswoman Debbie Smith said.

"It's still very sketchy," Smith said. "We haven't got the full details yet from the witnesses."
