SEATTLE —

Two men who robbed a salon and its employees Saturday evening in the Rainier Valley are still at large, according to the Seattle Police Department.

The robbery happened after 6 p.m. when two men entered a hair and nail salon in the 5600 block of Rainier Avenue South.

Police said the men ordered people inside of the salon to go to back, and one of the men pulled out a handgun.

The victims, which included the salon’s owner, employees, a man and woman, were told to face the wall and empty their pockets.

According to police, one of the men forcefully removed jewelry from one of the employees, and cut off her bracelet and necklace with scissors.

The men also went through the victims’ purses before tying the victims together and fleeing the salon.

One of the victims broke free and called 911.

When officers arrived, they searched the area but could not find the two men.

The victims were treated and none of them sustained injuries.

Police described the men as Vietnamese, in their 30s to 40s, and one of them was armed with a black and chrome handgun. They were last seen wearing hooded sweatshirts, and one wore sunglasses.

Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to call 911 or the Seattle Police Department’s Robbery Unit at 206-684-5535.
