PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. —
Two vehicles were hit by bullets Sunday morning in Pierce County, and the Washington State Patrol is seeking the public’s help in an attempt to locate possible witnesses.
At 4:15 a.m., a minivan traveling eastbound on State Route 16 between the Narrows Bridge and Jackson Avenue was hit by bullets. The driver was not struck or injured.
At 4:45 a.m., a car was struck by multiple bullets while traveling northbound on Interstate 5 between 56th Street and 38th Street. The driver was not hit or injured.
At this time, it is unknown if the two cases are related or separate acts.
Troopers need help in finding possible witnesses that may have seen anything out of the ordinary in the two locations during those times.
Detectives will continue to investigate the two cases.
Anyone with information about the two cases is urged to contact WSP Detective Vic Mauro at 253-538-3176.
