4 Students Hurt In School Bus Collision Near Maltby

CLEARVIEW, Wash. —

Four children were injured Friday when a tractor-trailer rig collided with a Bellevue school bus on State Highway 9 in Snohomish County.

A Bellevue School District spokeswoman says the four Medina Elementary School children were taken to a Kirkland hospital as a precaution after they complained of headaches.

Forty-four students were on the bus on their way back to school after a field trip to a pumpkin patch.

The students, ages 8 to 10, were on a field trip, according to the Everett Herald.

The dump truck apparently couldn't stop quickly enough on the wet roadway, officials said.
