Armed Robber Eludes Police In U-District

SEATTLE —

Seattle Police were unable to find a man who robbed two women at gun point in the University District late Saturday night, the Seattle Police Department reported.

The incident took place in the 4700 block of 16th Avenue Northeast at about 11:59 p.m.

According to police, the two victims were parking in an alley when they witnessed the suspect talking on a cell phone.

When the victims got out of the car, the suspect ran up to them while holding a black handgun and yelled, “Give me your purses!” as he pointed the gun at their midsections.

Both women gave him their purses and the suspect ran away westbound. Neither victim was injured.

Officers were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect was described as a white male in his teens or 20s, wearing a black stocking cap and puffy black jacket.
