Army Rangers Arrested In Connection With Bar Assault



LACEY, Wash. —

According to police, three Fort Lewis Army Rangers have been arrested in connection with assaulting a man at the Viking Lounge in Lacey Thursday night.

The three soldiers went to the bar at 1 a.m. Friday.

One of the soldiers went into the bathroom where he confronted a black man, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.

The man left the bathroom, told the bartender and the soldier was asked to leave the bar.

The man then went outside to smoke when he was attacked by the three soldiers who allegedly called him racist names, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.

According to the Thurston County Sheriff’s department, two of the soldiers were arrested Thursday night and the other was arrested Friday.

They have been booked on second-degree assault and malicious harassment charges.
