At Least 1 Dead In Federal Way Head-On Crash

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. —

A man was killed in a head-on crash Thursday evening in Federal Way, reported KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.

Cathy Schrock with the Federal Way Police Department said a car driving recklessly crossed the center line in the 32100 block of Hoyt Road Southwest shortly after 6 p.m. and struck another car heading in the opposite direction.

Schrock said the driver of the car that crossed the center line was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in that vehicle was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with critical injuries.

The occupants of the other vehicle involved in the crash suffered only minor injuries.

The road was closed for several hours during the investigation.
