Bellevue Bank Hit In Takeover-Style Robbery

BELLEVUE, Wash. —

Two men, waving guns and yelling at employees, robbed a Bellevue bank Thursday in what police described as a takeover-style robbery.

No customers were inside when the robbers rushed into the Key Bank in the 4100 block of Factoria Blvd. SW just before 10 a.m.

One man jumped over a counter to get cash while the other man forced some employees into a bathroom.

No shots were fired, an FBI spokesman told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News. The men fled, apparently on foot.

One man was wearing a dark, hooded sweatshirt and a bandana over part of his face. The other man wore a nylon stocking over his head.

The FBI and Bellevue police were investigating.
