MARYSVILLE, Wash. —

A bicyclist was killed in a crash with a truck in Marysville Tuesday night.

The crash occurred at about 8 p.m. on State Avenue and 109th Street.

The 25-year-old driver of a truck apparently did not see the cyclist, who was riding slightly in the road, perhaps trying to avoid some gravel.

Police said the driver of the truck stopped and cooperated with police.

Investigators said the area was dark and the crash appeared to be an accident.

Marysville police Cmdr. Robb Lamoureux suggested that in light of the death, perhaps the city's traffic safety committee will look into putting better lighting in the area.

The victim was a 64-year-old man.
