Bicyclists Struck By Driverless Truck

SEATTLE —

Two bicyclists were struck by a truck in Seattle Thursday morning, the Seattle Fire Department said.

The incident took place at East Marginal Way and Hanford Street. A crane was towing a pickup when the truck detached and careened down a hill without a driver, hitting the bicyclists.

Video from Chopper 7 showed a man being loaded into an ambulance. A fire truck and several medical vehicles were at the scene.

Two people were transported to the hospital. Their conditions are not known.
