SEATTLE —
The Cascade Bicycle Club, along with community groups are sponsoring more than 40 commuter stations. Some are giving away water bottles, food and other items.
Organizers hope 25,000 people will pedal to work this year.
Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn invited cyclists to join him on a ride from the Fremont Bridge to City Hall. See video
Everett Mayor Ray Stephanson led his city's ride at 7:30 a.m. outside the County Administration building, on the corner of Wall Street and Oakes Avenue.
The Edmonds Celebration Ride began at 8 a.m. from PCC Natural Market, 9803 Edmonds Way.
A block party will begin at 4 p.m. in Ballard.
