Body Found In South Sound Motorhome

The body of a 50-year-old man has been found by sledders inside a motorhome near Ashford.

Pierce county sheriff's investigators say the man was inside a sleeping bag, frozen solid.

Det. Ed Troyers tells KIRO 7 the sledders knew the man was living in the motorhome, and became concerned when they noticed a large accumulation of snow around ther vehicle, but no footprints or other signs of activity.

The motorhome was parked along a wooded road less than a mile from State Route 706.

Troyer says the man was known to have some health issues, and may have died as long as two weeks ago. The cause of death has not been determined
