Body Found On Beach North Of Carkeek Park

A woman discovered a body Monday morning as she was walking on the beach north of Carkeek Park, Seattle police said.

Police said the woman was walking along a remote beach area about one mile north of Carkeek Park, near the train tracks.

Investigators said the body is that of a man in his 40s.

Officers and Burlington Northern Railroad staff were at the scene after receiving the call about the body at about 9 a.m.

The body has been recovered. Police are investigating the death.
