EVERETT, Wash. —

Boeing officials announced Friday the company will lay off  800 workers by the end of 2013.

The layoffs will mostly come from the 747 and 787 jet programs at Paine Field in Everett, reported the Everett Herald.

Boeing spokesman Doug Alder said the total job losses will be between 2,000 and 2,300 through attrition this year, and 800 of the cuts will be layoffs.

Alder also said layoff notices have not been given out.
