Boil Water Advisory Lifted For Port Townsend, Kalama

SEATTLE —

A boil water advisory has been lifted for Port Townsend and Kalama, but remains for one other community.

Residents the Forest Grove mobile home park in Snohomish County are urged to boil their water or use bottled water after a boil water advisory was issued Monday.

In Port Townsend, a 12-inch water main break happened on Water Street early Monday and caused a water outage for three city blocks. The pipe was fixed on Tuesday.

In Kalama in Cowlitz County, a major water main break drained the city’s main storage reservoir Monday morning. Water service was restored to customers by early Tuesday evening.

Nearly 70 residents of the small mobile home park near Marysville have been without water for several days because frozen pipes caused a water main break.

When water service is restore, residents will need to boil their tap water until further notice.

Tap water should be boiled for one minute and allowed to cool before use.
