MERCER ISLAND, Wash. —
A bomb threat closed Mercer Island High School on Tuesday.
The threat came in at about 8:10 a.m., according to the school's Web site.
Students were evacuated to the stadium and police have brought in bomb-sniffing dogs.
The school said juniors and seniors who drive were being dismissed from the stadium first.
Children who have access to their homes who walk to school would be allowed to leave school to return home. Children who have access to their homes who ride busses would be transported to their bus stop by school district buses. Children who do not have access to their homes would be in the gym area of the building once it is deemed safe.
