Charges Say Drunken Masseuse Poked, Restrained Patient

OLYMPIA, Wash. —

A massage therapist is accused of holding down a patient after drinking before and during her shift at a massage facility where she worked.

The state Health Department charged Elizabeth Hall with unprofessional conduct earlier this month for an incident they said occurred in September.

A statement of charges said Hall appeared to be emotional and distracted at an 8 p.m. appointment with a patient on Sept 28, 2010, who was scheduled to receive a massage.

Documents said after 30 minutes of crying and talking about personal problems, Hall began to poke the patient’s back.

When the patient asked Hall to stop and leave, Hall continued to touch the patient and then held the patient down on the massage table, charging documents said.

Hall then lay across the patient’s back and put her arm around the patient’s neck, DOH papers said.

Hall was detained by police. Officers said Hall had a breath alcohol concentration of .428, the documents said.

Hall was charged with unprofessional conduct on March 8.

The documents did not disclose the location where Hall worked.
