Children Hurt In Suspected DUI Crash

Driver Veers Off Road, Smashes Through Fence And Hits Tree



SPANAWAY, Wash. —

Two children were hurt early Friday morning when a suspected drunken driver lost control of his vehicle and smashed through a fence.

Girls Injured In Crash

Washington State Patrol troopers told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News the blue Toyota was going south on Pacific Avenue South in Spanaway at about 12:30 a.m. when the car veered off the road, smashed through a cyclone fence and hit a tree.

The man behind the wheel, Soeun Seuth, 22, was trapped inside and had to be extricated. He was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tacoma with head, chest and leg injuries.

Two girls were hurt. The 6-year-old suffered a broken jaw and the 8-year-old suffered minor injuries. The two were being treated at Mary Bridge Hospital in Tacoma.

The driver was to be tested for whether he had been drinking.
