Cigarette May Be Cause Of Tukwila Fire

TUKWILA, Wash. —

A misplaced cigarette may be to blame for a fire in Tukwila late Wednesday night.

The fire started just before midnight on 53rd Avenue South and South 136th Street.

Firefighters put out the fire in less than 10 minutes.

Investigators told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News that a misplaced cigarette may have sparked the fire.

A garage, some appliances, and a pickup truck were significantly damaged.

No one was hurt in the fire and an investigation is under way.
