clark stahl 09 Clark Stahl, Television Reporter/Chopper 7 Pilot for KIRO-TV, joined the Channel 7 news team in 1982. A native of Seattle, Clark was an Army helicopter pilot from 1967 through 1990; four of those years on active duty and 19 years in the Reserves, retiring in 1990 with 23 years of service. He flew medivac helicopters in Vietnam in 1968 and 1969. In addition to his flying career, Clark worked in the real estate industry from 1975 to 1982 and maintains a Real Estate Broker's license. Clark graduated from Highline High School in Burien, Washington in 1965. He has earned his Associate Degree plus an additional year. He was a U.S. Army flight instructor and has attended Bell Helicopter and American Eurocopter flight training academies.

Clark has earned several awards including the Washington State Distinguished Citizen Award for a helicopter rescue, and numerous law enforcement and community service awards for participation in search and rescue, D.A.R.E. and other activities.

Clark resides in Redmond with his wife, Jennifer.
