CLYDE HILL, Wash. —

An officer fired at a stolen pickup truck late Friday evening after the vehicle rammed a police cruiser and attempted to run over the officer, according to the Clyde Hill Police Department.

The incident started earlier in the evening at a Woodinville residence.

Police said two men stole a maroon Dodge Ram truck in the driveway of the home.

Several reports came in of a recklessly driven pickup truck driving into the Clyde Hill neighborhood, according to police.

When a Clyde Hill officer saw the pickup, the officer then shot at it.

Police said the vehicle sped away and crashed in the 1800 block of Northeast 96th Street. The two men got out of the truck, and fled the scene on foot.

The officer was not injured in the incident.

Officers with the Bellevue Police Department assisted the Clyde Hill Police Department in searching for the men.

Kirkland and Bellevue K9 units tracked the men and found the passenger of the truck in the 9300 block of Northeast 14th Street.

Police arrested him and he was taken to Overlake Hospital Medical Center with a superficial gunshot wound to his arm. He was later booked into the King County Jail.

Officers could not locate the driver of the pickup and police described him as white, 18 to 20 years old, about 5-feet 7-inches to 5-feet 8-inches tall, with platinum blonde short hair, wearing sweatpants and athletic shoes.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call the Clyde Hill Police Department.
