SEATTLE —

The driver of the tanker truck that crashed and caused a massive fire on Interstate 5 is out of a job.

Investigation Continues Into Tanker Accident

Flames and thick black smoke broke out when the truck slammed into an overpass in Lynnwood on July 12.

Gary Brammer was driving the truck carrying 11,000 gallons of gasoline when he crashed.

TANKER FIREI-5 Tanker Fire

Brammer was fired by Harris Transportation Wednesday after an investigation.

He told police he fell asleep at the wheel.
