EVERETT, Wash. —

A man who pleaded guilty to raping several young girls blamed the mother of one of his victims in a shocking turn at his sentencing hearing on Tuesday, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.

A judge sentenced 39-year-old Enrique Sanchez-Leon to 35 years to life in prison, following a plea deal with prosecutors that spared the victims from testifying.

"I want to know, why did you do that to my daughter? She is set back in so many ways," said the mother of one victim.

Sanchez-Leon blamed the girl's mother for letting him babysit.

"For her, it was more important to spend the night with her boyfriend than take care of her own girl. I refused so many times," he said.

In January, officers found Sanchez-Leon's Snohomish apartment crammed with computer equipment used to store volumes of child pornography. He pleaded guilty to taking many of the photos and of raping four girls, including a 3-year-old.

In court, he apologized for his actions and begged the court to lift an order banning him from contacting his own young son. Sanchez-Leon is accused of photographing his ex-girlfriend molesting the boy.

"I willingly seek treatment and will comply with any counseling or class," he told the judge.

The judge denied Sanchez-Leon's request to see his son.

Prosecutors said they believe, after looking at the evidence, there are no more victims. They asked anyone with any information to give them a call.
