SEATTLE —
Police are looking for whoever shot a 15-year-old boy and a man near a gas station in South Seattle on Thursday night.
The boy suffered gunshot wounds to the arm and the abdomen, and was taken to Harborview Medical Center, the Seattle Fire Department said. He was listed in serious condition. There was no word on the condition of the man who was shot.
Crime scene tape roped off the gas station in the 9200 block of Rainier Avenue South where the boy collapsed. Police said he ran about 50 yards from the shooting scene. They said they believed an argument turned violent.
About an hour later, the second victim -- a 29-year-old man -- showed up at Harborview with gunshot wounds to the back, police said.
"Somehow, a disturbance broke out where shots were fired. We're fortunate that there were a lot of people that witnessed it," said John Hays of the Seattle Police Department.
The shooting comes just three weeks after a shooting around the corner at a Subway restaurant in which two people were seriously injured.
