SEATTLE —

Seattle police and the FBI arrested a woman wanted on burglary charges after a standoff at a North Seattle apartment Wednesday, the Seattle Police Department said.

SWAT members surrounded the apartment, near the intersection of North 105th Street/Northgate Way and Midvale Avenue North, and police advised people to stay away as a hostage negotiator was called in. FBI agents were at the scene, looking for a 29-year-old woman  who was inside, police said.

The woman came out of the apartment at about 4:22 p.m. and was taken into custody. Another woman came out moments later and was also taken into custody.

Aurora Avenue North was shut down at 107th Street temporarily but reopened. 107th remained closed through the afternoon.

The FBI will handle the case as it moves forward, police said.
