The memorial to a man killed in a possible road-rage incident last week continued to grow Monday as police continued to look for the man who pulled the trigger.

Yancy Noll, 43, was shot Friday night while in his car in Seattle’s Roosevelt neighborhood. Police said an earlier road rage incident may have led to the shooting.

“It’s just so senseless,” said Mike Martin, one of Noll’s friends.

Noll was just minutes from his home at the Savara Court apartments when he was shot.

Martin said he’d seen Noll at his apartment an hour earlier.

“Crazy. It just makes me so mad,” Martin said.

Police said they believe the shooter was driving a silver BMW Z4 convertible, which may have body damage, including a broken-out passenger-side window.

Police described the man they’re looking for as a well-dressed white or Asian man in his late-20s to early 30s with dark, slicked-back hair.

Martin said he has Noll to thank for helping him get to know so many people at the apartments where they lived. He said Noll was the reason people were friends, not just neighbors.

Noll’s apartment has become a place for those friends to gather and remember the things he loved, including wine, the outdoors and his dog, Lola.

Just five minutes away, near where Noll was shot, another memorial was growing, too.

Martin said coming home from work will never be the same again.

“And his dog would be there to greet me, and I knew his door was open,” Martin said.
