KENT, Wash. —

A suspect has been identified in the Sunday afternoon shooting of a man in Kent.

 

Police said Wendell Oliver Adams Jr. shot a man in his 20s in the lower torso in the 22400 block of Benson Road Southeast after an argument.  Several shots were fired.

 

The victim remains in the hospital with possibly life-threatening injuries.

 

Police said Adams is described as black, 26 years old, 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 170 pounds.  He was last seen wearing a black T-shirt, black shorts and a gray hooded sweatshirt.  He was armed with a black handgun.

 

Police said Adams should be considered armed and dangerous and investigators ask anyone with information regarding his whereabouts call 911 or contact the Kent Police Department hotline at 253-856-5808.
