BREMERTON, Wash. —
After working hundreds of tips, a suspected serial attacker is still on the loose in Bremerton.
At a community meeting Monday night, neighbors asked why a person of interest has been located, but not arrested.
Neighbors had a chance to ask police, face to face, at a meeting with city leaders.
Detectives said they believe the same attacker may have stabbed three people in Bremerton. Two of the victims died in the attacks.
Since they opened a dedicated tip line and offered a $10,000 reward, police have gotten 445 tips, with more than 100 coming in since last Thursday.
Officers believe they've located and talked to a person of interest seen in posters put out, but he is not in custody.
Nathaniel Grayson lives in the middle of the Bremerton neighborhood that’s plastered with posters showing the sketch that’s caused fear in the community.

Police call the man in the FBI drawing a person of interest in the three stabbing attacks that killed two people within a mile of each other.
“Am I safe? Or do I have to walk around just praying?” said Grayson.
Bremerton police told worried neighbors they've found and questioned the person of interest, but they haven't arrested him.
“It’s like a complicated situation. It seems like they have the guy, but they don’t want to tell us who the guy is because of whatever reason that is?” said Grayson.
Police tell neighbors there's a lot they can't say, and there's a reason they have to keep a lot of what they're learning a secret.
Police heard a common question at the meeting.
“When are you going to catch this person or persons? When can the community feel safe again?” asked Richard Buchholz.
Sara Burke, 19, was the first victim slain. She was stabbed from behind last May. Kenny Cobb, 51, survived a similar attack. He saw the man police developed into the sketch. Then 61-year-old Melody Brannon was killed in a similar way weeks ago.
“We do believe they were followed prior to the attack. They were attacked from behind, and the crimes do appear to be random in nature,” said Bremerton police Lieutenant Peter Fisher.
After six neighborhood police meetings and 445 tips, police are still asking for the public’s help.
“If it’s unusual, call it in. That’s how I think they’re going to solve this,” said Bremerton City Councilmember Roy Runyon.
KIRO 7 Eyewitness News learned of a search warrant that was executed with a SWAT team in South Seattle in which police looked for evidence in the case a week ago.
Detectives said they can’t comment on what they found or even that the search happened.
