Suspected drunken driver arrested after hitting pedestrian



BELLEVUE, Wash. —

A man police say was driving under the influence struck a pedestrian in Bellevue Wednesday morning.

 

Bellevue police spokeswoman Carla lafrante said a 60-year-old woman was walking across 152nd Street when she was struck at 7:20 a.m.

 

She was transported to Harborview Medical Center with significant injuries, Iafrante said.

 

The 28-year-old driver was arrested for investigation of DUI and vehicular assault.

 

The woman was not in a crosswalk.
