Spokeswoman Helen Fitzpatrick says the fire Sunday burned an apartment building under construction and spread to neighboring buildings at North 44th St. and Meridian Ave. North.

No one was injured.

Residents were forced to evacuate and some people jumped from windows.

One woman trapped in a burning apartment building took refuge in a basement closet for more than an hour under a wet blanket.
