Deputies Draw Guns On Teens With Fake Weapons

EVERETT, Wash. —

Two teenagers were expelled after they brought fake guns to an Everett middle school, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.

A school official spotted the two 8th-graders with toy guns –- replicas of a Glock 27 and a 1911 handgun -– at about 4 p.m. on Tuesday and called the sheriff’s office.

Responding deputies found the boys in a wooded area, armed with what appeared to be real guns.

"Deputies gave the standard command, which is, ‘Police! Don't move,” said Rich Niebusch, of the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office. “When they did that, one of the two young men withdrew the gun from his waistband"

Deputies said the boy is lucky to be alive.
