Deputies: Man Attacks Woman On Tiger Mountain Trail With Stun Gun

SEATTLE —

Sheriff’s deputies are looking for the man who attacked a woman on the Tiger Mountain Trail near Issaquah with a stun-gun or Taser, said Sgt. John Urquhart of the King County Sheriff’s Office.

The 24-year-old woman was able to fight off the man and received minor injuries in the attack that happened Saturday around 10:40 a.m., Urquhart said.

The woman said she was working in a crew from the Department of Natural Resources, but was alone when the attack occurred.

She said a man in running attire approached her and began talking to her. She said when she turned her back to him he grabbed her, shocked her with an electrical device and pushed her to the ground, Urquhart said.

She fought with him and was able to escape and run down the trail to her co-workers.

Her attacker is described as a white man in his mid 40s, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 160 to 165 pounds and has gray to white hair. He was wearing a gray pullover sweatshirt, black Spandex running pants, a white mock turtleneck, light-colored running shoes and black gloves with Velcro closures.

The victim described the suspect as clean shaven and neat appearing, Urquhart said.

Anyone who was on Tiger Mountain Saturday and recognizes the description of the suspect should call the King County Sheriff's Office at (206) 296-3311 or 911.
