Deputies: Man Robbed Victim He Knew Through Craigslist

PORT TOWNSEND, Wash. —

Deputies have arrested a Renton man who they said robbed someone he met while buying and selling items on Craigslist.

The robbery took place last month, when deputies said a man woke up a Port Hadlock resident who recognized him from past Craigslist dealings. The robber pulled a gun and tied up the victim, the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office said.

While the robber was loading his car with the victim's belongings, the victim freed himself and locked the robber out of the house, deputies said.

Deputies said they located the suspect at home in Renton last Thursday and arrested him.

The 27-year-old man is jailed on charges of kidnapping, robbery, assault and theft.
