Deputies Search For Victim, Gunman In Skyway Shooting

SKYWAY, Wash. —

Investigators are trying to find the victim and the gunman in an apparent shooting in King County's Skyway neighborhood on Sunday night, deputies said.

A witness who said he heard seven or eight gunshots near 64th Avenue and Martin Luther King Way saw a man he believed was the gunman walk away into a nearby apartment.

The witness also reported he saw a victim being driven away in a car that had its back window shot out.

Surveillance video at the apartment complex showed a gunman chasing someone, deputies said. The video also showed a man shot and doubling over in pain.

SWAT officers surrounded the apartment complex where they believed the gunman was hiding Sunday night.

After police stormed the apartment, they found nobody inside.

Police checked with local hospitals but have not found the victim.
