Flames tore through the former Rest Inn motel Monday.

Four homeless teenagers were sleeping inside the boarded up business when the fire started, KIRO 7 Eyewitness News reported.

They scrambled to escape the flames.

"I had to try and bust out the window. It wouldn't work, so I had to go to the next room and bust out that window to get out," said Adam Evans.

The teens are facing criminal trespassing charges.

Investigators said they'll search the building for evidence as soon as it is safe to enter.
