Disturbing Details Revealed In Beating, Burning Of 2 Men

OLYMPIA, Wash. —

Disturbing new details were revealed about the slaying of two men whose burned remains were found inside a charred tent in Olympia, reported KIRO 7 Eyewitness News. The three men arrested in connection with Friday’s killings made their first court appearance on Monday.

Prosecutors said Christopher Durga, Tommy Crow and Bryan Eke beat two men, dragged them inside a tent and then set the tent on fire.

Chow is accused of using a pipe to beat one victim and investigators said Durga both choked and beat another victim until he was unconscious. Eke is accused of breaking bones of both victims during his part in the assault.

According to court documents, after the beatings the three men dragged the two victims’ bodies into a tent and two of the suspects were seen flicking lighters near the victims’ tent before all three left together.

“Two of the suspects indicated as they were leaving the area, they saw flames from the tent,” said Tor Bjornstad with Olympia police.

Documents also said the three suspects had attacked a man with a baseball bat a month ago and broke the victim’s legs in several places. The documents said that the men thought one of the victims found dead Friday had been talking to police about the prior assault and so they killed that man and his friend.

The coroner is still working to identify the victims and determine if they were dead before the tent was set on fire.

All three suspects are being held on suspicion of second-degree murder and arson in the Thurston County Jail.
