SEATTLE —

Burglars broke into Sportco in Fife and stole nearly four dozen guns early Saturday, the Fife Police Department told KIRO 7 South Sound reporter Kevin McCarty on Monday.

Police said the thieves broke through a window at the front of the store, headed for the gun department, grabbed 44 guns worth about $21,000 and were gone within four minutes.

Police told KIRO 7’s partner, the News Tribune, that at least two of the weapons were rifles.

There are surveillance cameras outside the store, and police said the video shows the thieves breaking through the door.

One burglar was wearing a Santa hat, and the other a mask.

The Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives have joined the investigation.

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and charges filed in the case.
