'Dream Catchers'

Watch Sunday, Dec. 25 at 11 AM

Sometimes bad things happen to good people. Somehow it's even harder to accept when those bad things happen to children.

But help is on the way…

"Dream Catchers" is a celebration of families and charity in action. This compelling one-hour special tells the stories of Northwest children and their families in distress and then reveals the amazing ways their dreams are answered.

"Dream Catchers" is hosted by Karen Moyer, co-founder of the Seattle-based Moyer Foundation and wife of Seattle Mariners all-star pitcher Jamie Moyer. Karen Moyer and her "Dream Team" answer a calling to help children in an extreme time of need. The "Dream Team" draws on many sources and celebrities to create customized "dream packages" and then surprises the children and their families with a knock at their door. "Dream Catchers" doesn’t pretend to make all the bad things go away, but does show how a team of Northwest organizations is trying to turn life's "lemons" into "lemonade."

The Moyer Foundation was founded in July of 2000. Its mission is to provide comfort and support to children enduring a time of profound emotional or financial distress. The Moyer Foundation has contributed over $3 million in grants to support nearly 100 different organizations. To learn more about the Moyer Foundation visit www.moyerfoundation.org.
