OLYMPIA, Wash. —
Police said the driver was traveling down Lily Road Southeast, ran a red light in the intersection at Pacific Avenue, crossed four lanes, jumped the curb and plowed his full-sized van through Phyl's Furniture store.
The van came to rest in the store’s showroom.
Bryan Stuart said he got the call just after midnight Thursday that a driver had smashed into the store he manages.

Aside from the store’s front window and damage to the building, the crash broke accessories, curios and chairs.
“(There is) a lot of valuable stuff that broke. It’s got to be $20,000, $30,000, $40,000 (in damages) probably,” said Stuart.
An ambulance crew said they witnessed the crash, including the driver backing up and speeding away.
“So now we have a drive-through store,” said Stuart.
In between cleaning up, Stuart spent time on the phone assuring customers they are open, even though the store may look a little different for a while.
“We’ll start putting everything back together just piece by piece. It’s all we can do,” said Stuart.
Stuart said the store will have a scratch and dent sale for Memorial Day weekend.
Witnesses took down the van's license plate number and the owner was arrested at his Olympia home.
Police said the man was booked into the Olympia City Jail for investigation of DUI and hit-and-run.
There were no passengers in the vehicle at the time of the crash, and the driver was not injured, police said.
