Driver injured after vehicle crashes into tree

Crash on Interstate 5 in Lacey

LACEY, Wash. —

A 20-year-old man was injured Sunday morning after his vehicle crashed into a tree on Interstate 5 in Lacey, said Washington State Patrol.  

 

The collision happened on southbound I-5 at Milepost 109.

 

Witnesses told troopers that the vehicle was traveling at over 100 mph before the car crashed.

 

The Oregon driver was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

 

Troopers said the collision did not affect I-5 traffic. 

 

The State Patrol will continue to investigate the crash.
