Earthquake Shakes Kitsap County

BRINNON, Wash. —

A 4.0 magnitude earthquake occurred six miles north of Brinnon, on the northwest side of the Hood Canal Monday night.

Based on phone calls received at KIRO 7 Eyewitness News, the quake was felt all over Kitsap County.

“My wife and I were sitting on the couch watching a late evening program and we felt the whole house shake, enough that even our dog got up and walked around,” said Tim Wymer of Bainbridge Island.

The University of Washington seismology lab said the quake hit at 10:20 p.m.

There have been no reports of damage.
