Ecology Dept: Diesel Spill On Duwamish River



SEATTLE —

The Washington Ecology Department is investigating a diesel spill on the Duwamish River in south Seattle.

An oil sheen and diesel odor were reported to the department at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.

An unknown amount of recoverable diesel fuel was found in an inlet on private property, next to some land owned by the Boeing Co.

Department officials sid a cleanup contractor has been hired to recover the diesel fuel.
