Elderly Man Drives Car Off 40-Foot Cliff



POULSBO, Wash. —

A man in his 80s survived after accidentally drove his car over a 40-foot embankment in Poulsbo Wednesday afternoon, landing on the beach near Suquamish.

According to the Poulsbo police department, the man had eaten lunch in the area and upon leaving accidentally drove the car over the embankment.

Firefighters from the North Kitsap Fire Department and Poulsbo were called to the beach below Northeast Geoduck Cove Way overlooking Port Orchard Bay.

According to officials, the man suffered minor injuries and was transported to Harrison Medical Center.
