NORTH BEND, Wash. —
A resident in North Bend spotted an elk with his antlers caught in an orange soccer net Friday and called wildlife officials.
The harder the elk tried to break free, the worse things turned out, the resident said.
Wildlife officials rushed out to dart the animal and cut the netting off his antlers.
They gave him a new ear tag and a second shot to wake him.
He was still wobbly as he made his way back to the woods, but wildlife officials said the elk was healthy and would probably be fine.
