EVERETT, Wash. —

A local mom is frantic with worry after her daughter disappeared 11 days ago.

Kelsey Emily Collins, 18, left her home in Everett on May 9 headed to Seattle, but she never made it.

"I'm just terrified that something's happened to her and I don't know what to do anymore," said Kelsey’s mother Sarah Collins.

The longer her daughter is gone, the more she worries.

"The last few days I just, I can't think of anything except that she's dead somewhere in a ditch, and nobody knows where she is," Sarah Collins said.

Before she disappeared, Kelsey spent time with her sister in their south Everett home.

"She was fine. Just you know, not mad at anybody, not depressed," Sarah Collins said.

That afternoon, Kelsey planned to take a bus to Seattle to meet up with friends at Westlake Center.

"She never showed up. The phone got turned off, nobody could reach her," Sarah Collins said.

Since then no family members or friends have heard from Kelsey. She didn't take a backpack with her or clothes and only had a few dollars in her pocket.

Everett police is asking for the public's help finding the young woman.

"This particular case, our investigations have run into dead ends everywhere," said Sgt. Robert Goetz of the Everett Police Department.

"I just want to know she's okay," Sarah Collins said.

If Kelsey chose to willingly disappear, the police and her family just want her to call them, and to confirm that she is OK.
