SEATTLE —
Officials in Graham are trying to figure out the source of a possible explosion Friday afternoon that shook houses in the area.
Several Pierce County emergency responders headed out just after 1:30 p.m., after multiple 911 calls describing the apparent blast. Crews weren’t able to find anything, however.
Graham fire Chief Gary Franz said the explosion shook houses and was heard by everyone but him. He said he talked to citizens in the area of 224nd and Orting-Kapowsin Highway who were shaken up by it, but said firefighters found nothing.
Chopper 7 conducted a visual sweep of the area but was unable to locate anything that appeared as though it had exploded.
Franz said he believes something happened and would love to know what it was.
